Re: council rates, just thought I’d mention that unlike many Councils, NPSP runs a child care centre. This means that our operating expenses include the cost of child care centre employees. However, this is basically self-funding i.e. the cost is offset by income. (In fact, the income is greater than the employee cost, but then there are also depreciation costs for the building.) This is just one way in which it’s hard to compare council expenditures.
