At the meeting on 3 April 2018, the Mayor, Robert Bria, put forward a motion to restore development funding for Norwood Public Library, in the Council’s Long-Term Development Plan 2018-2028. The motion was approved by Council Members.

A petition of over 400 signatures, requesting the Council restore development funding, was presented to Council by Jim Dunk, who addressed the meeting. Carole Whitelock also addressed the meeting, to support restoring development funding for the Norwood Public Library.
